Strengthening Central Coast business and employment:

Forsythes Recruitment announces new local presence

Forsythes Recruitment, a long-established Newcastle-based service for employers and job-seekers, will operate on the Central Coast for the first time.

On 30 March 2007, the firm will re-brand the service that has operated at Kariong as Staff Force. The business is being re-launched as the Central Coast branch of Forsythes Recruitment.

Forsythes acquired Staff Force more than two years ago and has since developed the service under that name, pending complete merger of the two businesses.

Leadership dedicated to building long-term relationships

According to Forsythes CEO Paul Hankinson, the change will benefit Central Coast employers and job candidates by making available Forsythes comprehensive and integrated recruitment approach for the first time.

“Our goal centres on building long-term proactive relationships with clients and on providing the best possible opportunities for job candidates,” Mr Hankinson said.

“One of the most important benefits to businesses and candidates is our use of skilled, specialized Forsythes recruitment consultants in niche areas of employment.

“Our dedicated consultants know their industry and employment area thoroughly, whether it’s in locating engineers, searching for executives, recruiting office staff or in any of our other specialized areas. Clients and candidates benefit from our ability to match needs precisely and facilitate successful, long-term engagements.”

A recruitment service that’s been developed and refined

Mr Hankinson said Forsythes’ depth of experience – providing diverse business services to the Hunter region for some 50 years and recruitment services for the past 20 years – would benefit the Central Coast economy by offering a highly effective and comprehensive service that included background checking, salary packaging and training.

He said the advantage would come from the rigorous assessment that Forsythes’ recruitment process provides, and from the large scale of the firm’s operations.

“From our Central Coast office we will widen horizons for employers and job-seekers,” Mr Hankinson said.

Central Coast employers and candidates will be able to take advantage of opportunities in Newcastle and the Hunter region through our much wider integrated database. We hope that this will be especially helpful to Central Coast businesses in countering the trend towards commuting to Sydney for work.

“As well, Forsythes Recruitment’s membership of the National Personnel Association (NPA) gives Forsythes’ clients and candidates Australia-wide and international reach in their search, therefore providing numerous opportunities for Central Coast businesses and employees.

“The overall effect of our service should make a contribution to the Central Coast economy. It will do this by maximizing the number of successful matches we can make between employer and employee, thereby adding to the health of local businesses.”

Helping to secure the Central Coast way of life

John Gallagher, Manager of the Central Coast branch of Forsythes Recruitment, said he was excited about the expanded service that he and his staff will now be able to provide to local clients and candidates.

“We have worked hard over the past two years to select the professional recruiters who best meet the specific needs of this region,” Mr Gallagher said.

“We have thoroughly integrated our systems and processes with those of the Newcastle office. Now we are confident of being able to provide local businesses and candidates with the seamless service for which Forsythes is renowned.

“By building lasting relationships in our district, we plan to make a long-term contribution to business and employment on the Central Coast, doing our part to strengthen the local economy and secure the prosperity of this popular and growing region.”
