Forsythes Team Heads West
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Senior members of the forensic accounting and business services teams from Forsythes are heading to Perth at the end of the month to take part in the 12th National Family Law Conference.
September 2006
The conference is a biennial event attracting over 700 delegates practising in Family Law across Australia, and is one of the largest events on the legal training calendar.
Forsythes Forensic Accounting is the principal sponsoring partner of this major event and papers will be presented at the conference by both Suzanne Delbridge-Bailey, Forensic Accounting Partner and Brad Nichols, Business Services Partner, on aspects of taxation and estate planning in Family Law matters.
"Our significant involvement in this event is testament to the national recognition that our Forensic Accounting practice has, with our client base spanning from the East Coast to Perth," says Forsythes CEO, Paul Hankinson.
"The taxation consequences of transactions between separating spouses are often overlooked, with potentially very costly implications to the parties at a time when they can least afford it. Our Forensic Accounting team is working closely with our Business Services taxation specialists to educate Family Lawyers in the various tax traps and pitfalls affecting their clients, as well as the positive opportunities that may be capitalised on when restructuring post divorce," says Suzanne Delbridge-Bailey.
The Forsythes Forensic Accounting team also welcome new manager Christina Laurie. Christina brings to the team close to 20 years experience in various aspects of business services and taxation.
With more than 50 years experience, Forsythes combines a tradition of business expertise with innovative thinking and state-of-the-art systems in a dynamic commercial environment.
